Project Overview:
This music video marked the return of Páll Óskar, one of Iceland’s best-selling pop artists, after a long hiatus. Known for bright, upbeat visuals, he wanted this release to introduce a more mature tone and signal a new artistic chapter. The project required shaping a visual narrative that reflected this shift while honouring the performer’s established identity.
Recognition :
Nominee - Music Video of the Year, Icelandic People’s Choice Awards
My Contribution:
Developed the creative concept within one week, including analysing Icelandic lyrics and aligning the idea with the artist’s established persona while introducing a more mature direction.
Created rough storyboards to communicate the visual approach and narrative tone to the artist.
Secured the studio location, assembled the team, and led the production process from pre-production through delivery.
Directed the artist on set and operated as Director of Photography throughout the shoot.
Edited the full music video, integrating sourced stock elements, completing colour work and post-production effects.
Delivered multiple broadcast and online versions, handled client revisions, and exported additional visual elements for use in the artist’s live concerts.
Creative / Technical Notes:
Developed a coherent visual style from a limited studio setup, building most of the atmosphere and colour treatment in post-production.
Balanced the artist’s established pop identity with a more mature tone, adapting pacing and visual rhythm to support the evolution of his sound.
Combined shot footage with selected stock elements to reinforce the concept and enhance the visual texture.
Delivered multiple versions optimised for broadcast, online platforms and live-concert screens.
